The Republic of Kazakhstan is aiming to become one of the top 30 countries in the world by 2050, by strengthening its policy in attracting foreign investment.
On January 28, 2021, the Chairman and Deputy Chairperson of the National Development Agency held an official meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Zh.Adilbayev and other representatives.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the intensification and diversification of trade and economic relations and the attraction of foreign investment based on historical and cultural commonalities. For example, Mongolian experts will advise on matters such as leather and wool processing factories in Kazakhstan, implementing an exchange program between staff, facilitating the transfer of products to increase trade between the two countries, and establishing further cooperation with the national company of Kazakhstan “Kazakh Invest”. It was decided to launch a series of e-meetings to promote joint investment relations.
At the invitation of former Prime Minister of Mongolia U. Khurelsukh, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan will pay an official visit to Mongolia after the pandemic. During the visit, it was agreed to participate in investment events and trade fairs to develop bilateral business cooperation.
